Urgell repeated again this project but changing the school. Miralletes is a public school in the center of Barcelona that has launched a new educational project and relationship with the environment. The twenty-five sculptor has been learning from the students and influencing from their innocent creativity to create more original. The training that has received to the date is:
• Degree of Forging & Casting art – Art School in Vic
• Degree of Sculpture – La Llotja
• Product Design (today) - ESDAP
MIRALLETES SCHOOL
His studio is located on the ground floor of the school. It has a smaller study than the Encants, but it has a large terrace where he can do big sculptures.
While students are working, he used to prepare pieces for his work while supervised and help the children when they needed. The students are the ones who extract ideas and perform, but sometimes they mimic from Urgell.
In the studio, it comes about six students every afternoon during the week except Thursday :
• First, second and third grade can go Tuesday
• Fourth, fifth and sixth grade can go Monday and Wednesday.
• Fridays are reserved for the teachers of the school. In many cases teachers do not have a space to do activities and they need a professional who can help to carry out the project, such as working speed, the dynamism...
The commonly used material in this Espai C are recycled or are wasted materials such as boxes of fruit or materials that bring the children from home. They also have a list when it’s missing a material. Also, he teaches them to organize and manage the material.
